Manchester United starlet Cedric Ogbuehi has big say in his own game

Cedric Ogbuehi played a key role in leaving Lyon early for Manchester United in January’s winter transfer window. He was 14 when he was signed for Lyon, but the defender is now turning heads in the Premier League with Manchester United, who have impressed since his arrival.

The 19-year-old made his debut in a 2-1 win over Brighton last weekend, and the Englishman has impressed after starting 21 of United’s last 24 games.

After breaking into the first team, Ogbuehi was barely out of the squad for the next three years until he finally scored on his debut in the victory at Southampton. With the other left-back done for the season, it’s Ogbuehi’s chance to stake his claim, and the teenager’s older brother Josue said he believed the young defender could become a future England star.

Ogbuehi even more impressive is a right-back, but his brother thinks he could be given the opportunity to play with his older brother if he were to get the call for the first team.

“Any time he can play with any other player he’s not afraid of it. I believe he’s a fantastic player,” Josue Ogbuehi told French radio station France 2.
