A Texas woman died after she was hit by a stolen truck that turned in front of her mobile home.
ABC 13 reported that two people were in the truck, which was stolen Thursday in Dallas.
Yvonne Arthur’s family made the grisly discovery, the Houston Chronicle reported.
“There was nothing I could do, nothing. I’m just numb,” the woman’s nephew, David Arthur, told the outlet.
When the family noticed that Yvonne had been hit by the truck, they found her body partially under the pickup.
“The truck is right in front of the back of her mobile home, about 50 yards from the front. So it’s pretty bad,” Arthur said.
The driver of the truck, suspected to be 34-year-old Ashley Good, was taken into custody Thursday night. She was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of aggravated assault, KTRK reported.
Police were investigating why the car was stopped on a dead-end street and where the truck had crashed into the mobile home.
Records show Good had several previous arrests for assault and drug possession.
