Several notable participants came out to the debate, including radio personality Sean Hannity, the “Power 99” morning show host, who criticized the decision to allow a RICO Law enforcement to get involved on the eve of the election.
Hannity told the audience, “Why is someone like the mayor of the City of New York, a guy that you are interviewing, involved in pushing for an illegal raid on the house at the behest of the alleged blackmailer of this man, John Miller?”
Hannity continued, “I have to ask in all seriousness here: Are we going to start throwing traitors in jail, and this guy is a traitor. For the City of New York?”
Assemblyman Eric Adams ripped into the “fear tactics” of Curtis Sliwa, speaking out against the Guardian Angels founder’s decision to stage a “rally” at the location of the alleged confrontation.
There was also a heated back-and-forth between the two over the policy of sanctuary city policy.

“Curtis thinks he’s divine. He talks a lot about the past,” Adams said. “I’m not quite sure what part he sees from 7 and 5 [and] Vanderbilt Street. I think that man is so narcissistic he talks about the past that I thought of his freedom the other day when we had that raid on the home of a man who claims extortion. We know that man paid thousands of dollars to a man that is now under investigation by the police and he says he needed to pay him.”
Sliwa expressed confidence in the New York City Police Department’s handling of the alleged extortion case.
“You know what I know? I know there was no actual extortion. There was a personal spat between that person,” Sliwa said. “There was no attempt at any extortion.”
After the debate, Adams called Sliwa’s comments “rude,” adding that the radio personality is a “terrible person” who is “incompetent.”
Sliwa responded on “America’s Newsroom,” saying he is not a “comeback guy” and that he was trying to say that Adams was “truly disrespectful” to Miller.
“All the self-righteous, you-know-what, this is the man,” Sliwa said. “You can’t trust him.”
